Brad, thanks for posting the Sister Rosetta Tharpe photo. I have known that photo for many years, but to see a real promotional print that is signed by Sister Rosetta is wonderful. The Triolian matches her dress perfectly!

Sister Rosetta not only looks like shes playing an MM Blues, but shes playing a 14 fretter as well.
Great photo of her, I associate her with some great guitars, that three pickup white SG with the Vibrola, Ive seen her with a sunburst Tele, and now a cool National.

Hi Brad, that's a brilliant photo - I've just set it as my desk top background, hope you don't mind.
Having just gone through this thread I've noticed that many of the images are missing, which is a big shame. This is probably for a couple of reasons ; either the poster has removed them from the host, or the host no longer exists. My father has been writing his memoirs on a forum about his RAF training during WWII which has proved to be a very popular thread and a valuable piece of my family's history. Unfortunately, he did a bit of "spring cleaning" on photobucket and lost hundreds of images. Luckily I had downloaded the forum pages which saved hours of re scanning. I don't know if there's any copy rite issues here, but I'd suggest that someone does the same with this and other threads so they can be re posted before valuable images are lost.
Bill
