This guy says he brought it back to factory spec’s , yet it’s under strung! I’ve seen another he worked on and there was a extra support under the neck stick near the neck joint!

I recently put BB hitek on delphi that had existing vol/tone control I don't recall cap value it was used with electric humbucker So am I losing some of the desired characteristics of the Hi Tek by having tone control/cap Appears John Campbell or Chris Whitley was straight to amp Just wondered been wanting a Hi Tek forever. Thanks [/quote. Hi there, I’ve used these pickups a lot through the years and while I can’t remember what value a potentimeter you need but Les Shatten sells an external volume that plugs into your guitar jack that suits these pickups great! Hope that helps, Kenny

Hi there I gig with both on vintage Nationals so I guess I could tell what I do. My mag pickups are plugged into a Shatten volume control that plugs into the guitar jacks, then they plug into a tweed Tremolux and with that volume control I can get the the same level ,the amp is mic'd up and mix in the board with a Sure SM 57. I get a lot of compliments on my sound by other guitar players and its very fast to set up,hope this helps.

I use monel with the 210 DeArmond and mag pickups mixed with a mic for my Nationals and I solved that problem by using a flat-wound nickel for a G- string. Kinda sounds between a plain and a wound string,,,,,,,,,,,

That’s so cheap for a 30s El Trovador, and although it needs some work, it’s in okay condition. £200 or so to do it up and it’ll be a great instrument. Shine On Michael My thoughts exactly! Those are Kay made and much nicer sounding in my opinion to the Trojans an Rosita's and easier to set the neck as well. Kenny,,,,,,,,,,

Humm never seen such a beast! Its entirely possible but so far from the many I've seen the rarest 14 fret Duolians are the one piece mahogany necked 34's with the Duolian stamp. With pictures we will know more,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
