I think that YouTube has started to rot my brain, I just spent all day working and surfing through the easy listening links. Never knew that Jose Feliciano & Johnny Cash did a duet

I think one one the great things about British music is that there all of these kind of hidden gems to be found, once you start digging around. Although saying that Wyatt's back catalogue is huge. Theres all the stuff on Blue Horizon too that Mark introduced me too, looks like an expensive hobby though

At the moment I've started using Youtube more and more as background music, plus its nice to find things that you've forgotten about. Few bits recently by Roy Bookbinder, very mellow and this by Rory Mcleod , he has a really nice way with his harmonica playing. Lots of Robert Wyatt stuff too, not really bluesy though.

Has anyone heard anything from We'll Never Turn Back, by Mavis Staples www.mavisstaples.com/. Really good if you like the Cooder sound. Has anyone else come across anything worth a listen?

Perhaps you should have said you were interested in buying a couple. I might be stating the obvious here, but I think that the coverplate is supposed to resemble that of the Hudson Terraplane In fact if you look about you can get those hub caps for about $40 The one with the revolver bullets is a bit macho.

Just spent a while sifting through YouTube, all sorts of odd interesting stuff on there. Any other interesting finds Jesse Thomas playing a Roland Midi guitar For lovers of UK lap, Felix Mendelsohn and his Hawaiian Serenaders - Strange idea about filming 78s, but it works somehow Another look at the Fine Resophonic lab Mike Cooper on there somewhere

End of Layla by Derek and the Dominos - Interesting as it goes from a straight rock into something instrumental with an ambientish vibe, used on Goodfellows soundtrack - strange that both Clapton and Dire Straights had that instrumental thing going on
Stay With Me by the Faces, not the sleakist of playing but sounds very British, fits totally in with the song, its a bit like your stereotypical pub band on steroids. (not heard the song in ages, sounds like everyones doing their own thing and by shear luck it fits together)
Pink Floyd Stuff - Ambient Heads around the would must have gone out searching for a lap steal (and a variety of other things) after hearing their stuff

I think that they have dropped quite a lot. I suppose they are still making them so there will be more on the market - supply and demand etc.
Cheapest Nat Resophonic I've seen has been pon eBay.co.uk - £750 for a Delphi - Interestingly it did'nt sell the first time around for £700.
Bare in mind that you can get a Triolian copy for £140 and $99 in the states. So prices are fluctuating a little.
Don't see any price drops in original Nationals or handmades though
