Great job Jono!
I was shown the beer bottle washer trick by a British soldier guitarist in Germany in 1965 - only it wasn't Grolsch beer.
We had to drink a litre of Dortmunder Hansa Beer, grab the washer and take the bottle back to the Gasthof pdq where we got 10pfg. for the empty (ohne washer).
My originals perished years ago - now Fender and them other conglomerates are making loadsa money from that simple idea.

Hi guys, I've also used rubber tap washers. You can get a handful of suitable sized ones for pennies! Best wishes to you all, John

Dunlop Lok Strap strap locks work pretty well and are cheap enough if you don't fancy the beer bottle washer tip.

Quite right Groff, but I think anything that fits the category of 'weird and wonderful' will always beat store bought! Lol! Best wishes to you all, John
