Hi Hannu,
I have had one on loan since August and am really enjoying it. I play a Strat and a Dano U2 through it and they both sound excellent. Lovely clean sound and you can get quite down and dirty as well if you turn up the volume. It is quite a simple beast with the usual master, volume, treble, mid and bass controls. It also has built-in reverb if you want a good Elmore James type of sound. There is also a "fat" button if you want to thicken up the sound a bit (especially good for single coil pickups).
I have not gigged it so I don't know what it would sound like in a bigger venue than my bedroom, but I imagine it would be pretty good. Nor have I experimented with many effects pedals (I have a Dunlop wah pedal and a Seymour Duncan pickup booster) but I also imagine that it would sound nice with a tremolo pedal or an Ibanez Tube Screamer. I like it so much that I am thinking of buying one for myself this Christmas. I suggest you give one a try at your local friendly guitar shop. I'm sure you'll like it.
All the best,
Joe (aka Mairena Red)

Hi Joe I sounds like terrific amp,Small in size and watts. I read some reviews at harmony central and almost every one was happy whit the little "beast" ;D I'm looking for a amp that is easy to overdrive at lower volumes.I don`t use any effect pedals just plug it in and crank up the volume.
Thanks my friend

If the budget will stretch try the Cornford Harlequin - 6 watt all valve, hand wired, 1 x 12 combo. Vol, Bass, Treble & Master. 12" celestion. You can drive it to the limit but turn the master down to keep the rest of the house happy. Just tweak the controls until you find what you want - amazing variety of tones. Unfortunately quite a bit more than the Blues Junior but a lot less than many 'boutique' amps. Cheers.

Hi there !
I've had a Fender Blues Jr (Hot Rod series) for about 5 years - it is a great wee amp. About a year before that, I bought its big brother, the Deluxe. I just don't need the size and volume of the Deluxe - it sits in a cupboard - and has hardly been gigged (hint, hint, if anyone interested !)
The Blues Jr is great - and its got a good reverb too. You can get clean and any level of crunch you want. I use it for my electric and for my Elmore acoustic loaded with Dearmond Rhythm Chief pickup. It gets that authentic Elmore sound and I can get the right amount of crunch dialed in. With that pickup, on an acoustic, with the Blues Jr, I can get that "Done Somebody Wrong" tone. Also, I can get "Hawaian Boogie no. 2" tone pretty perfect too.
Great gigging amp - don't worry about its size - it IS loud !!
