Hello Skatman, www.michaelmesser.co.uk/MM FORUM brasher_maui_full front copy.jpg[/img] (Charles Brasher resophonic guitar) Somewhere on this forum we have had a discussion about Brasher guitars. I know there are one or two photos on our 'unusual resophonic guitars' page, but I can't find the thread that mentions them. I actually do not have any information or knowledge of these guitars or the maker. I have known about them for a while and have seen various pics along the way, but not much more than that. I think Colin McCubbin who runs the Notecannons website may have more knowledge than me on this subject. Shine On, Michael.

Thanks for the message Michael, I am looking into it further. Interesting that this patent hails from Canada, isn't it!
I will post a few pix of the guitar on here when I can - the guitar is in need of some TLC, but I am not touching it until I find more info on its provenance and origin.
best regards, Scott Hughes

Hi Scott,
I am sure Colin Mc will be able to give to some information on Charles Brashers guitars. He will respond to your thread/question when he returns to Notecannons HQ in a few days!
I believe that one of the photos on our thread...'unusual resophonic guitars' is of Charles playing in a band in the 30s or 40s.
We would love to see your guitar, so please do post some pics when you can.
Shine On, Michael.

Take a look at the Brasher pages,at notecannons!
A book is being written on the subject of Charles Brasher, by a some what 'reclusive' guy in Canada. I have heard that he was seriously pissed off when I posted my pictures, and felt that I was stepping on his toes, but I will try to put you in touch with him and several other owners in Candada and the USA when I get home and pick up the details from my computer.
