Hi all. I was a first time visitor to Pocklington this year and met loads of wonderful people. Michael's classes were brilliant for me as I've not understood or played blues much in the past and I really started to understand. However I need Help now knowing what I've been missing. Can any one point me in the right direction re resource material to further my learning and playing? I came away full of ideas and tunes which have frustratingly disappeared from my fingers!! Going to video next time. Thanks to all for your encouragement.

I'm in a similar position to you, I've played a lot of electric blues but I'm very new to acoustic blues. I've found a couple of video courses that I'm finding helpful.
One is Dirt Road Blues by Paul Rishell from Truefire.com a finger picking country blues course. The other one is a slide course, Masters of Bottleneck Blues by Tom Feldmann from Stefan Grossman's Guitar Workshop.

Splint - you could put yourself on the members map and see who is near enough to join up with?
Any time at all you are over my way let me know (same for ANY other member).
Good luck :-)
