Hello all,
Looking for some advice from you hopefully knowledgeable folk.
I am selling a Busker square neck tricone over on the tin can alley board. Forum member leveejohn has expressed an interest in buying but is based over in Holland. I have shipped guitars to the UK before (with UPS via interparcel) without any issue and for approx £20, but not sure where to start shipping abroad.
Does anyone have any experience of this? If so what was the rough costs within EU (looking at Holland as I said) and who you used would be good
Any assistance would be appreciated so we can get John his new guitar!
Thanks all
Chris

I used Interparcel (UPS) to ship from UK to USA it cost 100 pounds with 1000 pounds insurance included, me and the customer were very happy with the service! The website will give you a price for the service you want, but remember the insurance + vat is extra to the quote!

Thanks, I will try that as used ups before and was happy with the service. Just wanted to make sure they were a good option price wise, or if anyone new if others.
Thanks

Have a look at parcel2go, but look at the insurance cover carefully.

It cost me 38 euros to ship a guitar with insurance to the UK from France recently via the post office... results were pretty disastrous, however. I won't do it again! I'm still hoping they'll make good on the insurance claim, but since the buyer accepted delivery of the parcel, I'm afraid they won't. Insurance will cover a lost parcel or an obviously damaged one, but other than that...well, we'll see. I've done dozens of transactions over the years, this is the first time I've had something go wrong.
