Ian has the first prototype MM guitar that he got from me in 2009. A 12 fret unpainted steel bodied MM Blues with slightly less depth in the body than the actual MM Blues.

Just a bit of a detour here...but it is sometimes a revelation when a pro plays one of your guitars... I went to a workshop run by Andy Cohen, one of the former students of Rev Gary Davis, and I brought a 1930 Gibson HG22 double rimmed flattop that I bought years ago at an auction and had repaired. It was a cool, odd guitar that by design did not have great tonality, and when I played it, often very gingerly, sounded very thin and cheesy... Well I asked Andy to play it, and he played it so hard and deftly that it sang out wonderfully. I since sold it since I could not reproduce the beautiful results of Andy's playing...
