Hi Michael,
great news for our transatlantic friends. Hope Santa will arrive soon in GB and the rest of europe. I feel impatient like a little kid on x-mas eve, although i really do enjoy this long lost feeling. Can´t stop listening to your MM 28 Demo. Chompin´at the bits.
Best wishes
Gerry

Congratulations Michael, the photos look great as well. The photos of the two 'Blues' clearly shows the difference between the 12 and 14 fret models. As Gerry (mrpwrslide)suggests when is arrival due in GB as I am also chomping at the bit.

Hi Gerry & Mike,
Thank you for your kind words. I am very happy to be working with The Twelfth Fret.
Re: the UK shipment - It landed in Southampton on Friday and now has to wait in the queue to clear customs, then get a delivery date booked in, and finally get all the guitars checked and setup at Dave King Acoustics. I hope to have the guitars delivered to DK's workshop sometime between 5 to 9 days from now. Then it will all start to move and I can get guitars out to customers. I know we are running behind schedule, but I won't rush the guys at Dave King Acoustics, because it takes time to do a good job on each guitar.
The two shipments, Canada & UK, left the factory at the same time, but the Canadians got theirs first!
Thanks,
Shine On Michael

Who is doing the set-ups on the Canada-USA guitars? Always wanted to try a MM!

Very nice -- I've been trying to convince my brother-in-law (in the States) to trade up from his Fender. He's gotten to be a very good player, the Fender just doesn't keep up. He's the one who inspired my "blues conversion" -- he deserves a better guitar!

Hi Gaucho,
Thanks!
The setups are being done by the in-house luthiers at the Twelfth Fret store in Toronto. They will do a great job. I am sure that if you want a particular setup that they will do that for you.

The Twelfth Fret is a very reputable store, so this is a good move for them and for Michael! Congratulations.

Here's another vote of admiration for Twelfth Fret. I shipped a vintage instrument 2,000 miles to their facility for a successful consignment sale.

The ship must have gone through the wrong canal if it got to Canada first?

my understanding is direct to Canada?
if not, the MM would have to go through customs twice.
this would be quite the impediment for competitive pricing.
are there any irons in the fire regarding a possible US distributor?
this would avoid double duty into and out of Canada.

Mike, The UK ship is at Southampton, but it is taking time to clear customs. I guess UK customs slow up in the heat!
Mitchfit, No, I am not looking for a US distributor. In fact I wasn't looking for a Canadian/US dealer when I was introduced to the 12th Fret. I am not seeking world domination, I enjoy doing it at a level I can keep on top of. I am primarily a musician and too much MM Guitars stuff takes me away from the music.

Well, if you ever decide to look for someone to handle your guitars on the Continent, the fellow who sold me my Republic seems great to work with -- and he's a practicing luthier who also specializes in selling resonators.

..."In fact I wasn't looking for a Canadian/US dealer when I was introduced to the 12th Fret."...
my 6th sense gets vibes of Colin's hand at work here.
