Also, Amistar had their own cones. They look identical to the sagas, but sound GREAT (IMO). TT

Thanks for the cone photo... The cone that I installed in the repaired Fender Brown Derby looks very much like the one on the right. I bought the cone on ebay a few years back for $20 something and had assumed it was a stamped cone since it was quite stiff and heavy, but as mentioned previously, it sounds fairly good. So this saga saga has a new twist...

Or they bought Johnson necks and parts to put on their bodies, I think. Something like that. The new Gretsch cones are supposedly spun in the Czech Republic too.
