Recently came into possession of this nice Dobro. He wants to charge me $400. I am wondering if it is worth that or more. I am almost sure it was made in 1993, but everything else I am not sure of # on headstock end is: G 1 109 93 D Ant insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, That looks like a steel bodied Dobro Model 90.
Should be a single cone and biscuit in there.
I rekon you're right about the date.
$400 is a good deal, assuming the neck is not needing a reset.

$400 USD would be a good price for that guitar, much better than £400 GBP.
That appears to be a 1993 Model 90WB (wood body) from the photo.

Apologies, I didn't click the pic, just looked at the small one and searched for the catalogue..... it does appear to be wood.
My model 90 (also wood) is very good indeed and has the standard flimsy star and moon coverplate.
At that price I'd near bite first and ask questions later.
Always better to play before pay though.
