The Washburn is 94 centimeters top to bottom. My little Klira (which is the same size as the Framus) is 89 cm. The Washburn's is a much bigger guitar all in all -- deeper body, wider lower bout, and has the standard scale neck. The distressed finish is quite understated though, for what it's worth.
I used to reject multi-piece necks for aesthetic reasons -- just didn't like the look of glue joints. Nowadays I'm not so fussed about it. But guitars are so highly subjective -- it's all about what appeals to you personally.

Meant body measurement without neck.
I am getting the impression in some cases "parlor" refers to shape and others it refers to size as well. Depends on the manufacturer I guess with modern ones whether they list whether its parlor, 00, 000 or whatever.

Depends on the manufacturer I guess with modern ones whether they list whether its parlor, 00, 000 or whatever. Washburn R319SWKK = 47 cm And for comparison: Framus 50/I Sport = 43 cm Klira = 44 Johnson AXL-998 = 46.5 So the Washburn "parlor" is slightly longer and nearly as wide as the Johnson (which I guess is the 000 size?), although the Johnson has a 14th fret join and is about 97-98 cm total length). (Don't you have a Cannon Busker or a Republic Minolian? I'd like to know the dimensions of these, as I plan on buying one next month or so.) Republic Miniolian = 47 cm

In my photo, you can see the Washburn is very close in size to my Nationals.

Hi bluefolk. Thanks for the heads up on that, it's well worth me thinking about. You're right about the case. Yes, choosing the right Parlour has become probably the most difficult guitar choice I've ever made, I think because I know they have such a delicate, individual voice that speaks more particularly to personal preference. And then on top of all that, there's all the physical detail preferences! A lesson in patience I think. Chris

gaucho, I tried one of those martin 17sm's when I bought my Toon Charlton a couple of months back and I have to admit I was distinctly unimpressed, but I had already played the toon by then which could be why. Of all the martins I played funnily enough the only one that got me nearly reaching for my wallet was an 01M which was by far the cheapest of the bunch but a lovely guitar none the less. All the best David
