This is a very faded and discoloured Melody Maker interview with Max Jones. Hope it's readable, sadly all the mass of MM (and similar) news cuttings of that era are in that state. Attachments:Korner71.pdf (1.78 MB)

Hope its OK to throw this in here. Anyone care to guess which well known band this is? If you already know, let the good people have a bit of fun first. TT

Excellent guess! Fripp on the right?
Wrong..... TT clues - pic circa 1969/70, and the guy in the middle looks 'similar' now.

I am going to be a sore loser and say they (zz top) are really bad. Can't put it in words without expletives. They are the blues equivalent of Kiss (the makeup band). Oh yeah they are multi millionaires like lot of other bad musicians.

Yet another obituary - for reasons best known to editors always seemed to come to me. Thankfully I'm well past those now. Attachments:LHObitpx.pdf (900.34 KB)

Alan, thank you for sharing this. Very much appreciated. Whenever I think of Lightning Hopkins I have to watch this film - The Blues Accordin' to Lightnin' Hopkins - by Les Blanc. This is one of the greatest Blues films. Shine On Michael
