I have only just heard about John Renbourn's death. That is very sad and quite a shock as nobody expected it. John was a great man and one of the most important British guitarists of the 20th century. R.I.P. John Renbourn Shine On Michael

Indeed, this news left me feeling very sad - his first recordings, along with Bert Jansch's, coincided with the start of my guitar-playing years, & were a huge influence, albeit of a virtuosity which I've never managed to get close to; not too many players that I'd class as ' legendary ' , but John Renbourn was, & one of the very best.. what a fine musical legacy he has left us ..
