Haven't posted on here for a while, the last time I did was regarding me selling my MM Blues, which I was finding more difficult to play with its flat fingerboard. After all its a bit of a wrench to go from playing a Baja Tele to playing an almost classical style fingerboard. So I ended up selling the MM Blues 14 fretter, which is now in a new pair of hands, and not wanting to be without a resophonic guitar, I got hold of a very nice Busker Chicago from Robin. A quite different guitar in many ways. For a start it has a nice radiused fingerboard, which suits me more as I will be using this guitar in a variety of situations, not just for slide playing. I am likely to use it in standard tuning for acoustic gigs, as well as a bit of slide. It still has a lovely chunky neck, the sound of that 12 fret body is really wonderful, full bodied, and very loud. Sounds great in standard tuning as well as open, plus it also sounds good in dropped D. A really sweet guitar, and looks lovely too. Getting quite a bit of play time at the moment.......;-)

Nice looking guitar. I thought about getting one, but was too impatient to wait 5 weeks before it was set up and delivered.

I tried to get in touch with Busker to ask about the Cannon parlor model, but I never received an answer. Seems like an odd way to do business!

I tried to get in touch with Busker to ask about the Cannon parlor model, but I never received an answer. Seems like an odd way to do business! Hi mickeyz, I've dealt with Robin at Busker more than a few times, for guitars, for parts, for advice and even for safe shipping of a guitar to me whose previous owner just happened to live up the road from Robin, always had great service. That said, making contact doesn't always go smoothly, because Busker is based in a remote location and both phone and internet service can be a bit intermittent. If you don't hear back, Robin recommends resending the message - for my part, I usually phone in the first instance, as it is easier to tell whether one has got through or not... But having said all that, I don't see any sign of the Cannon on the current webpages.

It's possible my email got waylaid into his spam folder, then. I didn't follow up because his web site doesn't feature the Cannon model anymore, I figure he doesn't sell it. I've since found another source who imports the same guitar directly from Aiersi -- if all goes well, I'll have it in another month.
Sorry, don't mean to hijack this thread!
