Spoke yesterday to Shannon Smith the admin goddess at National-really such a lovely lady, and had some questions about a bridge for a 1928 Square neck Tricone that is on it's way, during the converstion I asked her about the replacement 10 1/2" cones for Dobro Style biscuit bridge models - Here is the knowledge, Don Young has retired from National and that has left a void in certain areas including, but not limited to making cones -so for now there are none of the aforementioned cones available, also the Smith & Young line is no longer in production so it's a great time to snap these beauties up! before they become "items". Eric is doing more all the time, and I am sure the quality of National parts will remain as high as ever, but it is too bad to lose such a wonderful master of the art of resophonic guitar building as Don. However I am glad he is retiring and wish him the best as he "slides" ( heh heh) into his next life phase- Can't wait for that '28 to get here!! Happy HannuChristmasolstiKwaanzaboxingday to all

I wish Don Young well in his retirement. He's definitely left the company in good hands from what I can tell.
