Haven't had one for a couple of years. Spoke to wolvoboy last week who is keen. Anyone else? Venue / location not crucial either... TT

What sort of venue? Nottingham is fun...and I live there without a car.

The White Lion in Beeston would probably be more than happy to have us, it's pretty big and pretty quiet. The Ale isn't always great, but the owner is really nice and the kitchen is decent. They have various folk nights and stuff which just colonise part of the pub, it's all easy going.

Beeston's a good choice ~ Jim Wigginton at Guitar Spot is in Beeston so he'd definitely be up for it!

I live round the corner from the guitar spot, he's got one of my guitars at the moment! I'll mention it to him when I'm back in the UK.
Funny you should pop up Ian, a couple of days ago I was in a guitar shop in Durham, North Carolina, where the manager was asking if my slide was one of yours, your reputation definitely spreads far and wide!

BTW, there is no formal ownership / management etc of the 'resobash'. It just needs someone / anyone to decide to find a venue and tell people its on. But selfishly I would prefer one nearish to me! Hows about the glass centre Ian? TT

Matt: would the white lion beeston be up for it during the afternoon rather than evening - just in case people need to get home and its a bit too late? - a sat or sunday? Also, would it be an idea to have a couple of amps for a 'performance' of a tune or two should anyone feel like it? TT

Also, would it be an idea to have a couple of amps for a 'performance' of a tune or two should anyone feel like it? TT I'm sure they would be fine with an afternoon, they're very easy going generally. If not there's the Star next door which I'm sure would also be welcoming. Better beer too. Isn't the whole point of resonator guitars that they don't particularly need additional amplification in smaller settings?! I own an amp and live nearby if people really want one.

Before amps they did the live job OK, but with them they do them better! I suppose I'm thinking that with some people who've expressed an interest, it would be great if they did fancy doing a couple of tunes, it could be a bit like an open mic for an hour or so. And that the pub would be OK with it too. Get Mark Makin out of retirement - he was / is a great player TT

We should probably get round to organising this. I'll look at some dates.
