Looked all over awhile back for the foot tamborine she's wearing with that curve - ever see one like that? Wonder if it was made for her or a style that's no longer made - the ones I found all had a straight side. You can still get them, I think you should be able to find one in the drum department of any large music store. There's a few on amazon.com, too: www.amazon.com/RhythmTech-RT1011-Tambourine-Brass-Jingles/dp/B0002FOHG6/www.amazon.com/RhythmTech-RT1010-Tambourine-Nickel-Jingles/dp/B0002F5D8M/In the video of Jessie Mae, it looks like there's black tape over the curved part, so it could also be a hi-hat stand mounted tambourine (same shape as the two above) but with the mounting hardware removed and the holes taped over, something like this perhaps: www.amazon.com/Cannon-UPPT81NHHBK-Tambourine-Solid-Black/dp/B006YV2N3G/It looks like she's just fortunate enough to have a shoe size that fits snugly inside the tambourine without impeding its jangling. Looks like she's just pivoting off of her shoe's heel, and the tambourine is snug on her toe. I can see the comedic potential of auditioning tambourines at a percussion shop by shoving a high-heeled shoe into them hahaha.

Like the Morris Dancer's bells idea MN Think i all draw a line at a white handkerchief though!
Ive got one of those Meinl Foot Tambourines too. Works well on some songs. But not on others. The jangle is bit random used behind the toe's,but OK,ish.. I find if i put it on my leg just above the ankle, its more of a uniformed sound. But not to loud.
Might try one of these. meinlpercussion.com/products/Product/PER-FOOTPER/Product/show/1071/1060/PER-FOOTPER/?desktop=1
This guys got some good YT vids, stomp box and all..He's playing a stompbox called a Wazinator here

Just ordered the foot rattle for $27-from amazon prime so I can return it if it doesn't work out. It has a velcro adjustable attachment so some users I read were wearing it on the arm - if i get a result will update.

Foot rattle is going right back to Amazon - They seem to need movement like dancing or shaking like a rattle to make any sound or if you are a drummer I supposed you could hit them but putting them on my ankle and tapping they hardly made any noise.

Well, I decided to retire the hubcap. I used this at a gig on sunday, running it through an acoustic simulator. Very realistic kick sound, and swift too. Attachment Deleted

That looks good deuce! .Ive seen that done with a Cajon drum, sat on it,hitting the front with your heel. Quite loud none amped.. The guy here has got an interesting busking set up.Using an old suitcase
This is my set up.Pretty simple.More of a tippy tappy sound. With a couple of mics it sound OK.Could be better though.

Hi S496.Oh dear, they sound flippin useless,i feel bad after the idea .Good thing about the return.
You would think there would be more Foot percussion products around.. Looking before these came up,there in the U.S,if you haven't seen them. The "Down beat" Pedal looks quite expensive..Looks well make though. (the "Foot Drum" how much )

@ Bluesfolk, Really helped me avoid more expensive mistakes so all was not lost there I think the suitcase is used some - there's another example up top on the first page of this thread with of Zak71. The set up with the headphone works best for me - for as little as I tap!
