Hi, Just received a 1956 National 1033 that was in need of a clean up and some simple repairs. I was interested to see the internals of the guitar and I am sure plenty of others would also like to see. Here it is stripped of the tail piece and front cover plate with the rear plate in place. With the cone and biscuit reinstalled Front cover back in place It has a tapered neoprene pad under the Tailpiece Replacing the tuner knobs is a simple job and better than replacing the tuners for originality.

Half the tuner knobs replaced Body polished with Gibson guitar polish and all the metal bits with the trucker and biker favorite Purple polish The finished product. From a very tired and worn looking relic to a very nice guitar in around three hours and four beers. Oh and it sounds very nice too. Hope you enjoyed.

Nice, the tail piece looks very big, would it be better with a short one?
