I have one - mine has a maple floating bridge though, pretty high action which I tried to lower and it wouldn't play right at all. It has a drier sound and a stylized sound on the treble top two that I find quirky. Setup is dedicated to g 1/2 half step down, currently strung bottom three phosphor bronze martin lights with xtra light 3rd, and pearse 610 2nd and first - those are a little more substantial than the martin and I had them laying around. I made a short clip of a version of roll and tumble- I'm working on a secret version on the Stella that I switched to from it. soundcloud.com/lilhat/kaynote_test1

Thank you Michael!
Not that anyone asked but the thumbpick is metal, its a Propik, national fingerpicks and the test is in open D, the first was barehand open C# so the kay-note plays and records in both tunings, has some versatility. Using glass slide green on both.

I'm having a lot of fun with it, but the string spacings are currently too narrow, including at the bridge. I'll get a new nut, bridge and tailpiece for my tastes and keep the original tailpiece / bridge if I sell it. The neck needed an adjustment with a shim where it screws on - no difference in sound doing it that way. Just waiting for the strings to become a little duller, and I'll put a tune up. TT

I laid a ruler across the soundboard (detuned), and the area where the bridge is has sunk about 2mm from soundhole to butt. I doubt its happened in the last two weeks, but I'm wondering if theres anything I can do (supporting post), or maybe just leave it and it will be OK for another 30 years? TT
edit: just tried a support prop, and it sounded terrible. hope for the best I reckon. TT
