Got one from Michael a few days ago--great little guitar for picking or sliding (or both)! and amazing value for money. Thanks Michael and congrats on passing 10,000 posts. Does that now make you the Conehead Grand Wizard?

I am wondering about the blues 28 wood body guitar. What is the nut width?

Hi Lumena,
The nut width is 46mm. That is the correct nut width for a single cone National-style guitar.
Thanks for your interest in MM Guitars

Are there any MM Blues 28s for sale? If SO can you let me know how much they are and how to order one?
This point has been covered in another post. They are due in May. I'll try again later.
Thanks

just to say I have now bought a blues 28, serial no 007, from Pat, a member on here(I'm a bit slow to post on forums, it was a few months ago), but thanks its gorgeous and sounds gorgeous too. set well for finger picking or slide (even with a capo on) - having put 015s on, the top string doesn't rattle when my technique is good! I'd like to tweak it a bit just to raise the top string a wee bit - any helpful hints (as I'm a player not a techie but I guess I need to learn!) thanks michael for the comments on this one and thanks Pat for looking after it, and sending it safely packed. I'll endeavour to do the same though it will be used live so thats always tricky... will post a soundclip over the next few weeks if anyone wants it - unless there's loads already.

Hey Michael I just bought a MM sunburst wood triolian on reverb in the US - $750 -with K and K I installed already - and a old hula girl wooden National from Wildwood on a hunch after reading about '
'Em on the forum . Any of you guys want to surf in Panama let me know - I have a house over at Santa Catalina and a couple guitars stashed there and no wetsuits ! No rent for you poor chaps that struggle in cold water and small surf -! Local buddies to help you out also ! Check our free diving trip on Vimeo - Panama Yellow - google it and it's right there - a little guitar playing on there - cheers ! PS I still haven't put heavier high strings on the '28 but as it is it's really mighty interesting in how it plays and looks and sounds - way better than it should for the $ - although that's a bit left handed compliment - it's stands on its own .

I bought an MM Blues 28 last month, although half of it was in fact a birthday present. I’ve been playing guitar on and off since I was little, but only really started seriously over the last year.
A couple of days after getting it I went away for a fortnight and the strings are heavier than I am used to, so when I got back it took a week or so to get into it. Partly because of this I had a moment of doubt when I wondered if I’d bought a guitar I didn’t need and couldn’t get the best out of, but this soon passed. I can’t bend strings with (my little finger in particular) as easily as my medium gauge stringed acoustic yet but that’s the only downside now, I think.
It’s my first resonator. I tried a few cheaper Gretsch etc. resonators before buying to see if I liked the idea and they aren’t at all comparable. This just sounds, feels and plays good. The sound is very characterful, very full. I don’t play slide yet*, but it just makes blues sound right. It can sound kind of rough and stompy, in a really good way. It can also sound almost kind of gentle, too, and this is just me and my limited skills after a limited amount of time with it.
My dad taught classical guitar when I was a kid and he had a quick go on it, and was very impressed by the sound. My (mostly jazz) teacher had a quick go on it, and was also impressed by the sound and quality. When it arrived even my wife and small children were impressed, although the children in particular were mostly impressed by the shiny bit, and by how loud I could make it play.
Overall – I’m really happy I got it. It sounds great, and has been another step in pushing me to play more. I'd love to be able to afford/justify a metal one too now...
Michael was also really nice to deal with, and patient with a few questions I had.
Thanks Michael, Ryan
*the other week though, I went to visit Ian at Diamond Bottlenecks down the road, who is lovely and whose slides, as far as I can tell, are excellent.
