Seems to work good on my phone and laptop. Struggling a bit trying to upload a picture for an Avatar. I think the image is too big. Is there an easy way too reduce the size of the image eg crop in Picassa or do I have to do something else. Thank you. Mike

I too struggled until yesterday, when I decided to try and do it on my kids laptop (its better than mine....). Anyhoo, I used a similar avatar, sized at 170x156 pixels (180 seems a common maximum), if that helps. TT

As Dueuce points out you need to reduce the number of pixels in the picture to get it on or below 1 MB. So cropping it won't really help. Most picture editing software has a facility to do this, I use PhotoFiltre which is free: www.photofiltre-studio.com/news-en.htmand used the Image Size facility and kept reducing the pixels and saving it until i got it just below 1 MB. I would imagine that Picassa has a similar facility. The number of pixels you need to reduce it by will depend on the format of the picture, I was using a photo in .jpg format. Hope that helps.
