Hi again !
Well, I received my copy today. My own thoughts are that the initial impression upon removing this book from the thick cardboard postal packaging, that it is heavy yet robust, luxurious and classy. I have spent about 3 hours already carefully turning the pages and trying to absorb all that I see in front of me, a bit like the first time I got my first real vintage National guitar and hardly draw myself to actually play it for being mesmerised by it.
In short, it is a beautiful book and it will be cherished for many decades to come. I've got two young kids at home and they won't be getting anywhere near it !

Hi Richard, I hope it's up to your expectations. I'm afraid I'm pacing the room at the moment - not really sure of people's initial reaction. It's a bit like waiting to do your first gig - you don't know how people will react. I've put together what I thought I would like to see if I could buy a book like this - it might not be how others see it. Thanks anyway. Talk to me again when you've found all the mistakes!!! Best Mark

Ordered my copy last night, I am now sitting at the front window waiting for any sign of a delivery van. I am sure it will be worth the wait. Nick

Hi Mark Similar thoughts to Richard really. I was asked yesterday by someone else what I thought, and I compared it to the kama sutra - visually mesmerising, yet technical too. I also used it for good purposes yesterday. Some dude on 'that site where reso players hang around' posted a picture of his supertone trojan asking what it was - straight away, page 88 came in handy (referencing your book of course.) I think its the most important book of its kind EVER! TT

Mark has not really started mailing the books out. The two that have gone were 'special orders' for birthday presents.
As far as I know, the mail-out will start properly early next week.
Mark is 100% reliable and if you sent him an email or MM Forum PM, he will have filed it and contact you in due course.
I received my copy yesterday, hand delivered to my door by the author. While I am the only other person who knows the content of this book almost as well as Mark, I was not prepared for how the work looks and feels now that it is a 430 page hardback book. It is an absolutely beautiful piece of work. It is literally Mark's life's work. The seven years writing and drawing is only part of the four decades of work and research that Mark has put into this project.
Congratulations Mark - It is absolutely beautiful!

Hello Geoff001, Apologies for delay. We are now ready to ship copies out properly - we have packaging and the shipping software is up and running. If anyone wants to get a copy please leave me a PM message on here, leaving their email and mailing address so I can get back to you if necessary. The shipping software also needs a phone number in order to create the shipping barcode.
We will have plenty of copies - at the moment 500 have arrived.

I have received my copy now. It is everything that others have described and more besides. All these different model names that pass me by like ships in a mist, are starting to make sense now because they are all together in one place.
I have always steered clear of becoming involved in discussions regarding subtle model differences on The Forum because it would be impossible to disguise my lack of knowledge. I have no intention of becoming an armchair expert just because I have this weapon at my disposal, but I would urge any one that claims to have anything more than a passing interest in these instruments to get in the queue for a copy ASAP!
Congratulations Mark.

I received my copy yesterday. It is immediately apparent that this has been a labour of love for Mark. It is a stunning book, beautifully illustrated with a wealth of detail that comes from a man who is a leading authority on resonator guitars. It is without doubt the most important reference book on the subject. A major historical work; very, very well done.

I got my book today and where do I start,,, When I first saw the price I swallowed hard (I have never spent this much on a book), ironic as my priorities on guitars are whatever!!! So confident I deserved a birthday treat I hit the Pay pal button, very quickly a courier delivered book arrives packaged to an extremely high standard. Once opened and the smell of a new book consumed I start at the back and flick through to the front. Mark you can save that lino and stop pacing as it is an excellent piece of work, I am familiar with a lot of these guitars but there are new discoveries on most pages, even the wife was impressed when I stated "they are not photographs you know". I advocate buy once and buy quality, move it on over Bob there is a new dog in town!!! Happy Lee
