Since we are often discussing how fragile our cones are and how ballanced the setup should be, isn't this just crazy!! Keith

Strikes me that using the bar wouldn't actually alter the break angle over the bridge, just the tension of the strings... It does look pretty nuts though. If there's a player out there doing something cool with it, I'd like to see/hear

It's not going to alter the break angle but it sure is going to tug the saddle back and foreward!

I think it is totally ridiculous!
It is not a Bigsby tremolo arm, it is a Bigsby cone destroyer! "Pull This To Destroy The Resonator"

Good way to ruin a perfectly good reso. Who needs a Bigsby when you got a slide!

Hmmm. what about the tuning issues as well?? I put a Bigsby style vibrato on one of my "esquired" Squier Teles as a bit of an experiment. Just didn't stay much in tune, even on minor wobbles, even with heavy, stretched strings. Can't see a resonator bridge being any better for tuning than a Tele bridge??

As far as I'm concerned Bigsbys belong on Gretches!! Not sure that helps them stay in tune!!

michael I thought it might be a Bigsby looking at the lettering all the way to the back of the assembly. @keith I wouldn't think the bridge and biscuit could take any vibrato whatsoever even the slightest bit without just destroying the bridge and cone. That's Whack! as we used to say back home. Jaco

Actually whammy's look prety cool on Teles, LP's and the Epi wild cat. Just not on reso's!

from slidefever:
..."Who needs a Bigsby when you got a slide!"...
+1.
a glitter cure for a problem that doesn't exist. likely modded by a non-slide player?
