Yees ;D
Finally I got my Squier Vintage from Germany. I just changed Newtone strings on it and tried it with MM champ. Yes, I like it. ;D

Just wanted to post an update here to mention that that very same set of Newtone Michael Messer Electric Slide Classics strings is still on the New Yorker, two months later, and they still sound and feel just right! And I have played this guitar almost daily, including gigging in France and Germany. Top quality product! Many thanks, Fred

Thanks Fred. It is always good to get positive comments from the people who use the strings. I have been a total Newtone addict since 1991 when I first met Malcolm Newton.

I have just started using these on my reso-lectrics, and they are great. I have had a set of Newtones on my acoustic resonator for ages, they are the 15s,and they are great, but I thought Id try them on magnetic pickup equipped guitars, as the other make that I have been using has been prone to breakages recently. These Newtone strings are wonderful, and have reintroduced me to the joys of having a heavy plain G string, which gives a much brighter tone. They also seem to be really reliable. Stringing up with other make strings, had me on tenterhooks all the time, for one or two breaking. Newtones seem to stretch better, stay in tune better, and sound better too. I'm sticking with these now.
And I too use Strings Direct for them, quick, and free postage
