Thinking about Rainer Ptacek this afternoon. Rainer's life was cut short at the age of 46 from a brain tumour.

Great to see Ronnie out and about, and with his old Zemaitis.
I cut some of my musical teeth jumping around playing this song!

Fantastic to see Ronnie letting rip with the old Zematis, interesting slide finger placement, and they could do with a few more Amps, interestingly Rich Robinson also has a Brass Fiddle edge Dobro.

Some McTell from New York's finest, although I hear Frankie now focuses on Italian folk music.

Flashy, indeed !
But how about this ?
I think the interviewer (and I believe he’s a musician too) was about to cry (and just give up playing guitar for good !), when Jeron stopped playing, ha ha ha !!

That was a good one by Jerron! Hadn't seen it before. Cincinnati Flow Rag and West Coast Blues medley -- at triple speed, haha. Nice!

Not in the blues category, but there was nothing like the late 30's Count Basie Band, and this live cut from 1938 has the Walter Page, Jo Jones, and the unmatchable Freddie Green rhythm section on fire! Worth a "What are you listening to?" segment! Fer sure!

was just about to go to bed last night and this popped up in my feed ..listened to it 3 times ..
the intensity of that 4 minute solo is frightening.

I'm listening to "Country Blues Guitar" by Brendan Crocker - very nice acoustic and instrumental tracks, most of them played on National resophonic guitar.
I've never heard Mr. Crocker until yesterday when I heard him in episode of Northern Exposure, which I'm currently rewatching.

Hi there !
Finding this guy is fabulous ! Love the audio quality too. Sounds like a Paramount WITHOUT the frying bacon.
And with his music partner on washboard :
