Again mainly for curiosity, but Charlene Spiteri is 'playing' slide on this clip as well as the guitar player. She says that the inspiration for the band name was from the Paris Texas film... TT

Along with Greeny Koss is one of my favourite Les Paul players love the way he builds the solo up and squeezes every note out the guitar

Paul Kossof was a wonderful musician that died tragically at only 25 years old. He was just a kid. I saw him play a few times and he always delivered. So sad that he lived such a short life.

A long time ago we went on holiday to Cuba and I got lost in the back streets of Havana following the sound of a quintet playing this. Fortunately, a delightful local lady guided me to the taverna where the rest of the group were waiting for me before starting lunch. I became known as Chan Chan for the rest of our time there.

Every bar and on every corner and along every street and alley. Everywhere you go. The songs we recognise from Bella Vista Social Club drift in the air. After a while the same ones ring around your ears over and over but you never get tired of it. One street duo seemed to sense I played a bit and handed me a battered old plywood nylon strung guitar. His bongo playing partner accompanied me on my cod flamenco repertoire and it was just magic. My playing just struggled with the tool but his playing made it sing so sweet. As it isoften said on here- it's 90% in the fingers ... I "liked" your post as soon as I read "Chan Chan" PD! Those that are drawn to The Big Easy (and I include myself there) should take a walk around Viejo Havana.

At about 1:03 there's footage of Albert Macon performing his version I Be Troubled/ Can't Be Satisfied. He was also recorded by George Mitchell. I wish there were more of his slide performances online - there is another of him solo performing Flat Top Boogie, nonslide.
He performed and recorded with Robert Thomas, here's a clip recorded in Holland thanks to Leo Bruin & Swingmaster Records

Eddie Taylor playing slide like Nighthawk plus clips from Maxwell St and the Delta Fish Market in Chicago. I remember seeing this on Channel 4 on my Sony Trinitron TV sometime in the mid 80s. It's a wonderful film. Shine On Michael

I have also been searching a inspiring version of John the Revelator with slide guitar to learn.
