One of these bands that had too much talent (except when it came to buying trousers). C'mon Graeme, there's a WAL bass!!!!

Les Claypool's De Duo Twang. Posting for interest really. Not particularly impressed with anything about it TBF!

AAARGH!
My son came round yesterday (supposedly for a pint and Sunday roast) - caught him doing his Les Claypools on my Fender Precision through my Champ 12.
Fortunately both the amp and guitar survived but my brain still hurts!

Loudon Wainwright III.
Album II from 1970 and Grown Man album from 1995. The only two albums of his I know. In 1970 I was at university and in 1995 Grown Man was literally the only CD I had for a while after moving into a flat. Both very clearly remembered times!
I hadn't heard them for many years, but I heard a snippet of Motel Blues on the radio series Laura Barton's American Road Trip.(The second episode has short snippets on Appalachian folk music and the blues.) Took me right back...
I see LW III is playing next autumn at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill. I feel a short break on the south coast may be called for.

“Your Mother and I” is one of his early ones that gets me.

Your feel put me in mind of the great Arthur 'Blind' Blake blueshome. (And his somewhat arbitrary method of dealing with intruders)
