I have known and loved this film for 35 years or so, but it is not called Jack of Spades. It is called Jack of Diamonds. Shine On Michael

Not a blues, but a contemporary account of a blues legend's twilight years.
Cheers

A recreation of between the wars Southern America, atmospheric tiny snippets of 20/30s US recordings in an enjoyable radio drama of Elmore Leonard’s ‘The Hot Kid’. Listen out for a couple of bars of the Mississippi Sheiks. BBC radio 4 extra, several 30min episodes Pete

Now then, looking at that picture I note that the women to men ratio is pretty high. Maybe I could get religion, after all........... ...and that song / performance is great, too!
