Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a good luthier in the St Albans (Hertfordshire) area?
A while back I tried swapping the 13 gauge string on a 13-56 set with a 15 on my acoustic guitar. Although I kept a close eye on the neck, I neglected to keep an eye on the bridge, which has lifted by a touch under a millimeter on the treble side. It seems fairly stable now I've swapped back to a set of 12s, but I feel it's better to get the bridge firmly stuck back down now rather than wait for it to get worse.
Normally I'd take this to my local music shop in Nottingham, but I'm down here for a while, and don't feel fully confident of entrusting my guitar to the shops I know of down here.
Any suggestions would be very welcome!
Cheers
Matt

Hi Matt,
I don't know any luthiers in your neck of the woods, hopefully someone on the forum might be able to help.

Hi Matt, You could have a word with The Music Dept, St Albans, 130 London Road, St Albans 01727 856351. They are competent and always helpful. Even if you don't use them, maybe they can recommend someone. Still hoping to see you at the Rose & Crown St Albans on Monday...
