That's a groovy looking lap steel Fred - congratulations. From the pics it looks like they made holes in the body to take 6 or 8 strings. I've seen on the steel guitar forum that someone's posted a picture of an 8 string and it looks like the same pickup with a couple of poles added. Do you think you would have to change the fret board to do that or would it be wide enough to take the 8 strings? How does that pickup sound? Does it sound like a humbucker?
