I ordered mine on Amazon UK - and checking the order the last month shows the release date is now 25th May

From what I can make out Amazon UK: Kindle edition: 4th April Hardback book: 25th May Bar stewards  but, heigh ho, I've waited so long another month or so won't hurt - unless I fall over beforehand, of course.  |

US Amazon is showing delivery to the UK 13th to 17th APRIL.
I'll try and get an answer from Amazon UK - some hope...

Contacted Amazon UK, got through the AI answering system somehow, spoke to two hooman beens - net result is that they haven't a clue why these dates are different around the world.

I’m hearing a rumour that the book won’t contain the last unseen (but real) photo of RJ after all.
I hope that is not true.

Hi again , I quizzed my source of this “rumour” more and he sent me a link to this recent online publication (quite a long read, about the upcoming book), that isn’t the previous pre-publications sales-talk blurb : www.salvationsouth.com/hellhounds-and-phantoms-biography-of-a-phantom-robert-johnson-don-mcleese/There is no information in the link that states “the” RJ photo will not be in the book. I asked my friend for more info. He said a US bookstore owner he spoke to has received copies of the book, in anticipation of the 4th April release in the USA and he said the picture is not in the book. Apparently, Scott Barretta said “ they have no ownership, and if it exists they dare not publish.” So, that’s disappointing news about the book. I do hope this is wrong ! |

Just received an email from Amazon UK telling me the delivery date has now been pushed to 17th.June!!! Contacted by phone "customer service" informing them that US, Canadian and Polish customers received their copies in early April so where's my copy? Their CS manager based in JORDAN said the delay in the UK is due to copyright reasons**. WTF??? I asked if I ordered from Amazon US would I receive a copy from there? The answer was "yes, but you will have to pay for P&P US to UK" which more than doubles the price of the book!!! - and what about copyright in that case? "No answer." was the stern reply! BLOODY CLOWNS - should be called Circus.world not Amazon.UK. Yours, very impatiently and grumpy, PD. Have a good day..... **Maybe, just maybe, us UK people are getting copies with the famous so far unpublished photo? - I jest.  |
