I would have Mark S build one, fit it and set the guitar up to your spec. for your playing requirements.
I would also keep the 'original' neck wrapped in tissue so it stays with the guitar.
Just my opinion.

That's the best option, for sure, don't try nothing else; Marc is the man, he can save your cones and clean up this delicate finish with the best care she deserves. It remains me something of a superb Style 97, seen in france, and converted with a round neck by Mike Lewis, with a stunning longer fretboard, (same as on some squarenecks of this period) a tasteful job you must see on his facebook page: fr-fr.facebook.com/fineresophonic

this is what they sent me from national when i asked what the scale is of their neck , this style 97 is 25 inche scale so i assume they are indirectly telling me it wont work.
Our new neck, including our new fretboard, will work with the 25 21/32nd scale on a vintage or new National body. Jason

I suspect it may be a tad more expensive but that guitar deserves it, IMHO of course.
