Bumping this. As noted above, buyer pulled out so it’s available again. Cheers, Rich

I'm thinking of treating myself to a resonator for my birthday(14th August) and haven't decided whether to go new or used. Your price seems high for a used example when compared with a new "Lightning" and especially offerings from the likes of Icarus guitars.Would you like to quote a bottom line figure for consideration? Thanks, Ken

Hi Ken, not involved in the sale in any way, but you've come on a forum of resonator enthusiasts. Any equipment offered on tin can alley will have been owned by a musician and be for sale at a good price. Did you notice the guitar has a sixtus pickup on it? That's worth a few quid in its own right. Good luck with your search, welcome to the forum by the way.
Best wishes to you all, John

Thanks, Ken Hi Ken, Welcome to the forum! The previous buyer (another forum member) offered £450 including delivery. The money was in my account before he asked if he could withdraw from the sale due to circumstances beyond his control. It's also close to what I paid for it (excluding pickup installation and set-up), so I know I'm in the right ballpark. BTW - The MM Lightning is not a Tricone. Michael does not offer Tricones under the MM brand. These are hard instruments to get right at the sub-£1k price point. There are lots of moving parts and things to go wrong in a Tricone. Everything needs to work together. Busker is one of the few brands that had a reputation for getting a budget Tricone right. I have never played an Icarus, so cannot comment on them. Cheers, Rich P.S. We share a birthday

If a shipment to France is not out of the question, I'm interested! I'm digging the tricone sound, but cannot find any decent offer on a NRP Tricone. Beeing new in the resonator world, maybe starting with a busker is a wise choice, giving me time to sharpen my taste...
I'll send you a pm.

Well I'm now waiting for this beauty... It's gonna be a hard wait for my first tricone and I'm surely going to keep an eye on the postman!

Hi Mando,
Hope it arrives safely and you enjoy it as much as I did. This one I played for 2 years learning about slide and the different approach a tricone needs.
Then I bought a second hand National Style 1 and now I'm lusting after a Fine Resophonic. It's how it goes....
Tricones are strange and wonderful things.
Cheers! Rich
