Really like the look of that fc,the collegian plate looks right and the soundholes and border give it a real art deco look. I'd like to see the head.Wonder what it sounds like.

Sorry bad edit job by me on screen capture...still cant see much about the headstock. My metal Hollywood has similar cover pattern though not as many holes. I am somewhat suspicious if the fingerboard is original...though have no clues... For those of you from Maine, my “only asking 4500” is sarc...

Why is the right upper hand quarter of the coverplate different - is that part of the design or was it patched? I read on a pinterest posting of it that National Dobro sued and won for copyright infringement - you can see more of the detail on that post: Harriet

It looks like the MOTS that was applied to that quadrant of the coverplate was an attempt at implementing a pickguard.
I may have posted something about the patent infringement a while ago re my metal Hollywood.
I dont think anyone knows how many Hollywood resos were built. I tried to contact one of the heirs who may have first hand knowledge, and he was not interested in talking about the Schireson instrument business.

I does look odd, cos the holes aren't even in the right place. I suspect foul play... TT

Those cover plates were one-offs i think. Likely only dozens made. See mine is the same basic format...
