I have heard of people having a joint for pain relief, but as a non smoker, I have not tried it myself!

OK. Going to need good joints to play those beauties... but back to subject, most joint pain is from imflammation. I have been taking an activated turmeric supplement ( i use brand name Meriva) for almost two years. I used to have locking-up fingers and joint pain...largely gone now. Doc says placebo effect...i say he is full of it... but dont expect immediate result. Nutritional therapy takes time. Happy New Year.

Going back to the Blue Anchor, in Helston - stay clear of the Spango special brews - they're so strong they're guaranteed to stiffen your joints and legs. Had 3 pints of the easter special once, and had to watch the Duchy of Cornwall marathon the next day, not run it.
Organic cider vinegar, with the mother, can help neutralise the uric acid that affects the joints, but the best way is to eat mostly natural foods - fruit/vegetables, and avoid processed foods/meat. Easier said than done (see Dr John McDougall's website)

I was in "The Blue" this afternoon and sank two pints of Christmas Special (same as Easter Special). I had a swifty on new year's eve and three the day before and two the day before that. I had a couple of Easter Specials in 2016. It's killer but awesome just the same. Ordinary "Spingo Special" is better IMHO but who's arguing? If you've never sampled Spingo then you're missing out. I have to say that Marston's Owd Roger is close. My fingers feel great tonight... We may pop in for a swifty tomorrow before returning (reluctantly) to banality in The Middlesex Delta!

"..stiffen the legs..."?
Two pints of Easter Special turned Best Beloved's legs into rubber bands Easter before last. Jess sayin' like...
