Everyone talks about neck and string angle, and the consequences of under string a tailpiece. But is there anyone who knows exactly how much the ideal downward pressure is on a (National) resonator cone? Because, using this link you can calculate the downward pressure on a (resonator) guitar bridge: Downforce Seems more interesting than guessing..? Em.

I have never bothered finding the exact total figure, I have however made a device for finding out string pressure. (See pic posted on Nov 18th) I needed to have an angle that gave double the standard pressure. So I found the pressure of 2or3 good sounding resos and then found the angle that doubled it. Copying a good sounding reso has been my way forward for most builds PT
