Writing the business case to present to the chief finance officer now. I've already sowed the seed of an idea one can't have too many guitars.might need to redecorate the whole house tho'. Fantastic news

Thank you for your kind and supportive comments! The new model will be called the MM BLUES '28 and while it is not a replica, it is a close copy of National wood-bodied Triolians that were launched in 1928. These instruments had ply wood bodies and maple necks. They were constructed more like a wooden crate than a guitar, and they had and still have the most wonderful tone and playability. While we have not gone with every detail of the originals, we have done what we did with the MM BLUES & MM LIGHTNING and kept all the right elements to create an instrument that I believe is the best available in its price bracket. I have not put it down since it arrived on Friday morning. I put a set of phosphor bronze MM Newtone National strings 15/56 and have been twanging, sliding & picking it ever since! I am very pleased with this guitar, it is sounding great and is lovely to play. The most noticeable difference between the BLUES '28 and original Triolians is the colour. We could have gone with the original 1928 yellow and 1929 mushroom coloured models, but I don't think the yellow/hula girl and mushroom coloured guitars are right for today's marketplace. Rather than invent a new colour, we have decided to start off with a sunburst wood-finish. The guitar in the photos is a PROTOTYPE, it has no MM BLUES '28 logo on the headstock and the finish is NOT complete, the production model with have a lacquer to give it some sheen, durability and a great look. The inside of the guitar is just like an early Triolian with converging tram line struts and square-based mushroom posts. Four years ago when we first started work on this model we had some exact replica hula girl transfers made. Although the BLUES '28 is not yellow, they do look pretty cool on it, so we may offer them as limited edition 'Hula Girl Specials'. We have not finalised a retail price yet because we are still negotiating with our suppliers about the production costs. We do have a ball park figure which will be somewhere in the late 400s. 485…ish (GBP). We can't be sure until we have finalised all the manufacturing and shipping costs, but as soon as we know, I will put something on this thread. I am very happy with the MM BLUES '28 and I think everyone who gets one will be too. The MM BLUES '28 has taken four years to materialise, it has been a long haul. These photos were taken yesterday in my garden in the only bit of sunshine we have seen in Buckinghamshire since last summer! Shine On Michael. Attachments:

Oh bugger, I was looking to March/April to get a lightning, finances have been stretched.
I think my tricone would satisfy metal, and having had an Epiphone biscuit I heavily modified, wood body would be great. Would you ship from China to here one of these Michael, they are looking great ?
